Cazorina (Casuarina): A Versatile and Eco-Friendly Tree
Casuarina equisetifolia,

commonly known as the Australian pine or she-oak, is a large evergreen tree native to Southeast Asia, Australia, and neighboring Pacific islands. Despite its name, it is not a true pine (genus Pinus) but belongs to the genus Casuarina within the family Casuarinaceae.

The tree typically reaches heights of 6 to 35 meters (20 to 115 feet) tall. It has a distinctive appearance with slender, green to grey-green needle-like branches that resemble pine needles.

The leaves reduce to minute scales, arranged in whorls of six to eight around the branchlets, giving the appearance of pine or cedar foliage.

Height: The Casuarina tree can reach a height of 10-25 meters (33-82 feet)
Saltwater Tolerance: Casuarina is highly salt-tolerant
Water-Logging Tolerance: Low
Growth Rate: Fast
Fragrance: Casuarina trees do not have a strong, distinctive fragrance. Their needle-like foliage lacks a significant aroma
